I am a very friendly, open, and honest person who enjoys meeting people and making new friends. I have studied my path off and on for a few years now but have really been studying harder the past year. I enjoy our Earth and do my bit to try and preserve it for future generations. I am a very crafty person who enjoys crocheting, knitting, cooking, sewing...basically I try my hand at anything I can do by hand. I really love it. It really does reduce stress and worries! If you would like to know anything else...just ask me.

Books Anne Rice, Fannie Flagg, JK Rowling, Biographies or Auto-Biographies, currently reading Anne Bishop. I also enjoy reading and collecting cookbooks and craft books.
Likes Honesty, REAL people, friends and family, making new friends, nature, the smell of rain, doing my bit for the environment.
Dislikes Dishonesty, fake people, players, abusers, seeing people hurt.
Hobbies Collecting cooking and craft books, crocheting (my favourite past-time), sewing, cooking, knitting, any craft really.
Vices The 3 C's...Chocolate, Chips, and Cheese!
Virtues Honest, hardworking, a true friend, a genuine person...what you see is what you get!

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Well here it is another Halloween in Australia. I don't have a lot planned for today other then going down to the local Coles and picking up a pumpkin to carve and baking up some Halloween sugar cookies to ice. I did crochet myself a witch's hat and Jack a pirate piggy mask. So, he and I will dress up and have our own little shingdig for my favorite holiday this year.

I do miss the atmosphere from home (USA) at this time of year. I miss the crispness of the air and the leaves crunching under my shoes. It all lends to the spookiness of going out in the dark to trick-or-treat. You wonder what might be lurking in the bushes, behind the tress or around the corners.

I've always loved Halloween and wonder why all of a sudden it seems to be so taboo in school systems and communities. When I was in school we had Halloween carnivals, now they are called Fall Festivals. It was ok to go trick-or-treating, now you must be so very selective as to where you take your children. We used to make decorations for our classrooms, now it is considered offensive to some to bake treats or make goody bags for your child's classmate. What the heck happened to all the fun?! A lot of the people not wanting to celebrate or trying to be "politcally correct" are the same kids who probably wore costumes and went out to score candy too. What happened to them?

Since having my first child and being confronted with "Oh no, we don't do that because it offends some" I've just thought of all the kids that are missing out on a fun time of year. (Never mind that I'm living in a country where Halloween basically doesn't exist. LOL) And I just think it's a shame that some adults have forgotten what it's like to be a kid at heart.

I've always looked at Halloween as not being just for pagans, but for children and those young of heart too. We each can choose to celebrate how we like...just please don't take the fun out of it for all of us!

Here's a little something for you to enjoy. It reminds me of going up to a door to knock for some treats!

    Moving my 360 Yahoo Blog....

Tuesday, October 30, 2007, 12:31 PM AEST [General]

In the next few days, I will be moving my 360 Blog over to this site.  Seems like it may be shutting down and a lot of people are scurrying.  I do, however, plan to keep posting at 360 but will also be putting the posts here.  This is so I can maintain my full blog.

I hope to see a lot of my old 360 friends here and make more new friends. So in the next few days, I hope you enjoy what you see here on my little page here in the wide wide world of internet.

Well here is my first blog to say hello to everyone.  My craft name is Diana and I am currently a SAHM with my 4 year old son.  I am an Arkansan who has moved from a small country town to a small country town in Victoria Australia.

I married an Aussie.  At the moment we are seperated and are trying to work out problems.  It's been good as both he and I are getting help for ourselves and that has helped us to finally formulate a friendship which, to me, should be that basis of any relationship.  We kinda took things a bit quickly when we first got together but the seperation has enabled me to get to know myself again and I think it has helped him to think about what is really important in life.  Family!

I have enjoyed living in Australia.  I love the laidback lifestyle and unfortunately...I love the breads and pastries!  LOL  Needless to say I have put on some kilos that are coming off slowly but surely and with my determination to be slimmer for my 40th and my new membership to Curves, I will achieve my goals!

I love crocheting! It is my favourite thing to do.  Cooking being second.  I love creating things with my hands.  I also have a blog on Yahoo 360.  Look for me there, Crochetkitty!

I have studied the Wiccan path off and on for a few years.  I have felt drawn to it.  This past year I have really dedicated time to my studies and have been amazed at how things just fall into place.  If there is a book I want to study, it always seems to be at the used bookshops.  If there is a tool or anything else I need, there it is.  This past year has seen me through a lot of hard times but my studies have been a bright spot for me.

I have also become a Greenie.  I love our Earth and I like knowing that I do my bit to help preserve it.  Each day, I try to look around and see what more I can do.  If I can do it....I do.  I am currently bothered by the fact that here in my town none of the takeway or fast food joints offer recycling.  That means that I usually take whatever I can recycle home with me to put in my recycle bin.   I am planning on writing to them and asking them why could they not offer this.  Does anyone else have the same thought?

Well, that is about all I can think of to say today.  I look forward to meeting new friends here.  Feel free to contact me.

    Blessed Be!

Brightest Blessings and Lughnasadh Blessings too!
How are you? All is well! A little bit of bustle from time to time, but, mainly calm. I have put some protection on this computer, touch wood and fingers crossed, lol. Motherhood has been a challenge this year, to say the least, lol. I keep reminding myself that I have so much to be grateful for.
I hope this finds you in good health.
My spirits will soar in a few weeks when the air starts to warm and we will get balmy weather. Winter tends to depress me a bit, I can work in 40 degree (celsuis) heat easily, but when my toes are cold I'm miserable.
    Hope to catch up soon,
    Love, light and laughter,
    Marie :) *hugs*

Hello my friend, I kept thinking I will catch up with you on Yahoo, then before I know it, it's 2 am, lol. I hope you are both well.
I am quite proud of myself, I actually stood my ground with my daughter, Samantha. She wanted to move back in with me, and I said NO! So now, Samantha will be living just up the road with her brother, Brendan. It's a bit too close for me but I will manage. Sam is a bit of a drama queen, which is probably why she had a falling out with her roommates at the house she was sharing. lol, that's not my problem any more, lol.

I'm still amazed I was able to say no, lol.

I laughed my head off when I watched your clip, lol. Poor man!

I'm sorry you were homesick, halloween just never started in Australia. At Christmas, we don't have snow, its so hot that we have a tradition of B-B-Q's and salads. It must be hard for you to get into the spirit of things.

    Love, light and laughter,
    hugs, Eternal :)
