La Religión Yoruba es un conjunto de principios relacionados con la naturaleza y los seres humanos. Une a la persona con su Ser Espiritual y con el mundo manifestado (material) y no manifestado (el espiritual). Se trata de conocimientos ancestrales.

Se cree que la ciudad de Ile-Ife (hoy Nigeria) es el Hogar de la Humanidad, que es el lugar de donde todos los seres humanos fueron creados y de donde se dispersaron hacia otras partes del mundo.

En la Sabiduría Yoruba existe una absoluta tolerancia y respeto por las diferentes creencias, comprendiendo que nadie debería ser forzado o persuadido de cambiar su forma de ver el mundo. Es irrespetuoso intentar cambiar la forma de vida y creencia de otras personas. Es una arrogancia pensar que nuestro punto de vista es mejor, cualquier opinión debe ser respetada. El mundo tiene mucho que perder si una determinada forma de vida, aunque solo sea compartida por unos pocos, desapareciese o fuese reemplazada por otra. No existe justificación para imponer sutilmente o con violencia una religión, menos aún justificar guerras o asesinatos en nombre de Dios. La naturaleza es una, una es la verdad y la misma se va revelando gradualmente en las conciencias de las personas de acuerdo a como ellas van evolucionando. Se debe respetar la voluntad y el libre albedrío de cada cual. No existe interés en controlar por medio del miedo o fanatismo ni pretender convertir a la fe yoruba a nadie.

En la Religión Yoruba no existe el concepto del pecado original y que el ser humano nace estigmatizado como resultado de la desobediencia a la voluntad de Dios, teniendo que sufrir resignadamente durante toda su existencia, procurando recibir el perdón divino y así encontrar la gracia divina después de la muerte. Mi opinión es que esta noción del pecado, imprime un permanente sentimiento de culpa que no ayuda a que el ser humano sea mejor, sino que mas bien permite que la persona se encuentre manipulada y desvalorizada por quien la quiera manejar y ataca el concepto que el hombre está hecho a imagen y semejanza de Dios el Creador, que es hijo de Dios y que posee la chispa divina y que elevando su conciencia puede alcanzar a experimentar planos divinos o de iluminación.

 Anhelo que mis palabras sean útiles para que cada cual se acerque cada vez más a su verdad. Mi intención no es debatir ni imponer nada, simplemente que cada persona siga lo que le dicta su voz interior y que mis escritos sean un estímulo para que cada cual sea mas feliz, mas íntegro, mas pleno.

El Doctor Wande Abimbola se refiere a "la Sabiduría Yoruba como la depositaria de creencias y valores morales que pueden ayudar al mundo de hoy. Ifa encarna la Sabiduría Primordial, que son raíces de todas las creencias de la humanidad, encontrándonos con valores humanos que atraviesan el tiempo, en los que no hay distinción por el color de piel o frontera, sino que considera al mundo como una aldea global y que en el interior del ser humano late una voz que desea que el planeta sea un lugar mas justo. La tierra se ha desprendido de su eje en el espacio. La tierra se ha rasgado en pedazos en su propio corazón. Si el mundo se vuelve fatal es porque el comportamiento de la humanidad es equivocado. Se debe tener conciencia y arrepentirse de los malos actos. IFA compondrá nuestro mundo destruido, solo él puede restaurar a Ife a su estado original.

Esta religión puede ser utilizada como un puente, como un medio para curar y sanar todas las heridas que tiene el mundo, para que en el futuro no haya odio ni intolerancia, donde la humanidad pueda vivir en unidad, independientemente de la nacionalidad, el color o el credo.

Ifa concibe un mundo en el cual, animales, pájaros, árboles, la creación completa es vista como nuestros propios hermanos y hermanas. Se basa en la premisa que los seres humanos compartimos la vida y no somos más que el resto de la creación. Se reverencia a los árboles, ríos, cerros y montañas por lo que ellos representan. Se cree que hay entidades espirituales que habitan cada manifestación de la naturaleza. Establecer una conexión real con el hábitat es poder disponer de una riqueza que es accesible al ser humano y solo las limitaciones que este tiene son las que impiden esta comunicación.

La vida aquí en la tierra es tan importante como la vida después que se parte de este plano material. Toda religión es un camino de vida. La Religión Yoruba a través de IFA y la religión de los ORISHAS, procura no limitar al ser humano, sino a que esté abierto a toda la potencialidad que representa estar viviendo aquí en este plano material y en este planeta.

Una de las premisas es que no se asume una posición de arrogancia donde se creé que el resto de la creación esta allí para ser explotada y maltratada para la propia "felicidad" de la humanidad. Los principios yorubas consideran que la humanidad y el resto de la creación deben coexistir mutuamente en forma armónica y beneficiosa para todos, independientemente de la importancia relativa que cada cual ocupe. I loved making the bracelets and decided to branch out and sell them.  That was pretty scary!  I started posting my bracelets on eBay, using my husband's account.  I was pleasantly surprised at the response!  After a couple of years, I decided to start my own Seller ID Marysrosegarden.  Starting over with a new ID has been very stressful.  Worrying about feedback and sales and exposure...whew!  It's been going well, though, and I just received my 50th feedback on my new ID.

eBay has been an experience, and I've decided to branch out.  Etsy really appealed to me, with it's "only handmade" format.  I've opened my store on Etsy  www.marysrosegarden.etsy.com.  I've also had a good response there and have learned a lot!

Etsy is all about promotion and display.  I had to take stock of my photos and rework them to be more appealing or interesting.  Made a light box from instructions on Etsy.  That's made a big improvement!  Every day, something new!

Call me cynical but it wouldn't surprise me at all if the leadership of the BNP were the ones responsible for the release of the list.

I am so excited to see Gold Coast adding the Pirate Faire to our neck of the woods and I hope it is a huge success! We've been waiting nearly two years for it to come together and i am really excited! I've been to the Civil War event at the site and it was awesome! I can't wait to see how they use the expansive space of Guajome Park for this faire!

Black Spot will be there, but we'll be missing our captain as she is a retail slave this time of year!

Captain you say? Yes, despite the fact that we planned our group around not having a captain, fall ESCO faire sort of put a kink in that plan... but in the process we had a great time with all the role playing with the court!

You see, it was like this...

We finally decided it was time to have the queen visit our encampment and we planned out all these things we could do to interact with her and her court...knowing full well we'd not get through half of them!*chuckles* However, the last thing we planned on was the way things unfolded.

If you know our group, and I believe I have mentioned it here, our morning "gig" is the drawing of the straws to see which unlucky soul will have to be Captain O'Day. As fate would have it, the day of the queen's visit it was the tavern mistress, Regina Wentworth (my hubby's cousin Jacquie). When the queen arrived, Regina was re-introduced to her as Captain Regina O'Day...and the queen decided that she liked the idea of a woman captain and that Regina should be our captain for a year! Our first thought was... there goes that gig! *laughs* our second was... Ohhhh Noooo! Not Regina! Not for a year!We even tried to get out of it by telling her magesty we had no ship and were land bound pirates! Her answer was to have Sir Walter give us one of the three ships he had been given the previous day... the good ship Dorothy! She also ordered us to set sail for the new world and bring her back Tabac.

We had a blast teasing Regina all day that day and then we all headed to the Privy Council the next day as ordered. We had the men dressed in aprons and serving the ladies of the crew... we even brought our own table and chairs... and the next thing we knew we were on the spot... or rather Regina was and having to defend her right to be captain and prove her ability to control our outspoken crew!

We left the Privy council with Captain Mistress Regina Chastised O'Day and with the grudging approval of the court that we go forth as ordered with Lord Leicester's finacial support to the new world and to prove a female captain could succeed. We were told we must bring back letters from at least one captain showing his supprt of Regina.

The week between faires we were busy and having a blast coming up with a plan. We had high ho[pes to make the year go by in the span of a week and returned to visit the queen with several props and ideas... and as always, only got to a few of them!

We arrived at the royal camp with bags of Tabac for the queen, a rather heavy box of treasure for Lord
Leicester, letters from several Captain's including Captain Morgan, Caveman, Planet, Sparrow, etc... which the queen made Leicester read. We never even got to our play on the name of the ship being the Dorothy, but the lolly pops from the lolly pop guild were tasty! By the time we had divested all our weapons and the queen thinking we might need time filler (not the Black Spot!) had us all re-introduce ourselves... and we had listened to Lord Leicester read the letters it was time for the queen to go to the battle and so we were asked to esscort her there... which left Regina our Captain until  spring faire!

I can't wait to continue the story and see if we can get through all we have planned and to see what new twists her magesty will add to our plan!

What a great faire this was and wow did we have fun!

Here is my fair-weather fan solution to the Bengals and Mike Brown.  Obviously they have no intentions of changing anything.  The Bengals continue to lose.  Mike Brown continues to make money.  We Bengal fans want and need our football fix.  So here is my suggestion...Go Colts!  We lineup a series of party buses for every Colts home game and go watch football in Indy!  We all were Bengals gear or Paint blue and white Bengal stripes so the media can see we are Bengals fans boycotting Mike Brown and our losing Bengals.  The issue that may arise is seat availability, but maybe we can get lucky and find enough for all those interested.  In our hearts we will always be Bengals fans. We have to force the change and that comes by the pocket book!  We can still have fun watching football and enjoying the NFL.  Support the cause become a fair-weather fan.  We will comeback when changes are made!

 This black bear from Montana has ceased hunting for a living and is sitting outside the US Fish & Wildlife Service office in Kalispell, apparently waiting to be fed and to have his winter den dug by government employees.
 The residents of Kalispell are calling him "Bearack Obama".

The Holly Tree- symbol of the life force, vitality and immortality. It is considered a lucky tree to grow in the garden because it wards off negative energies. In winter druids would advise people to take holly into their homes, as they believed it would shelter the elves and fairies who could join humans at this time without causing them injury.

Holly was also believed to protect against lightning and was often planted near the house. It has been proved that the spikes of the holly leaves act like miniature lightning conductors, and so protect the tree.

He tenido el honor y el placer de vivir en Venezuela en los 1970's y 1980's. Incluso agradezco a Venezuela por salvarme del racismo de mi estado natal que es Ohio. Muchos hablan de los aspectos negativos de Venezuela. Hay aspectos negativos incluyendo el crimen y la corrupcion en el mundo incluyendo Ohio y el resto de los EEUU.

Venezuela nunca tuvo complejos de inferioridad como lo has tenido los EEUU. Incluso, todo el mundo eran Venezolanos o querian serlo. Las playas de Margarita, los valles de Aragua, las calles de Valencia eran lugares que valen la pena. A pesar de todo, senti una tranquilidad que no he tenido excepto en Miami, Europa, Republica Dominicana, y China. Al contrario, los EEUU era y todavia sigue un pais donde el odio racial y etnico no se ha erradicado en su totalidad.

Venezuela pasa por un momento dificil pues hay grupos que apoyan una revolucion cuyo amo es los gobernantes en Washington y La Habana. Para aquellos que quieren decir que las elecciomes es una decision entre la soberania venezolana y el imperialismo yanqui, les dire que si pues la soberania venezolana esta bajo amenaza del imperialismo yanqui bolivariano.

El Socialismo del Siglo XXI no es Socialismo sino el Capitalismo y Imperialismo Yanqui disfrazado como Socialismo. Para aquellos que apoyan el Capitalismo disfrazado de Socialismo, respetare tu voto pero no tratas de buscar refugio en America del Norte ni en Europa pues las puertas estan cerrando. Incluso, hay casos de personas nacidos en EEUU deportados por ser latinos aunque luego existe la apelacion.

If you were looking for the Twilight movie to be like the book don't expect it to be, there idea of making it like the book was taking bits and peices of main parts and throwing them all together. The beginning of the movie was very choppy, the scene's were short and if I hadn't have read the book I feel like I would have been some what lost. One minute Bella is in the gym meeting Mike Newton, the next minute they are in the cafeteria sitting down talking, then Edward Cullen looks like he is going to vomit in Bio the next minute, after that he dissapears for a few days, Bella (Kristen Stweart) talks for a few seconds about how he wasn't there, and then he's back. I would blame this on Sumit Entertainment, they are an independent film company who tried to produce a phenomenon. The next movie should be done with a higher budget and in order to get New Moon perfect they are going to have to go into more detail with each character. Bella's character as well as Edwards and the rest of the Cullens were completley under developed, how is it that she see's him in school and 20 more minutes of the movie goes by and they are in love? Towards the end when Alice and Jasper take Bella to be safe from the Evil Vamp James, they quickly run through the scene in the hotel as if it wasn't important and Alice's vision was quick and it seemed like nothing had happened.

I can't say that I absolutly hated the movie, because I actually liked it, I knew it wasn't going to be like the book at all, there were many scene's I wish they had put in the movie to make it flow better. I'm going to be seeing it a few more times in the next week. I just wish the movie wasn't as rushed, I hate Harry Potter and the books that go along with it, i dont read the books at all but I feel like ever since the first movie that they do a great job with explaining things and character development unlike what the script did with Twilights Characters.

So like I said I loved the movie, i just wish some things would have been different.. and yes it can't be exactly like the book or it would be a 4 hour movie!

HHH VS. Kozlov would be a much better match to watch rather than add Hardy. Cant act, no talent, just over with the fans. To me dosnt mark given him another headline slot with HHH.
